any marketing ideas for a retail store, an outside event that would help promote the business and a big sale?

We have a twice a year sale to promote, which has to be in the form of an outside event. We’re a downtown store in a large city, and have zero budget for the event. I would like to get take our product to the event and sample/demonstrate. Any ideas? I’m out..
