What would happen in the event of a total global stock market collapse?

Related to the above – if the markets completely collapse will banks and building societies go bust? Does this mean that any money saved in accounts not linked to stocks and shares (for example, a cash isa) will not be able to be withdrawn as people will panic and attempt to remove all their funds from a bank / building society?

This sounds crazy, but if such a scenario was to happen, would it actually be wise to remove money from a bank before a collapse and store in a pilow under the bed?!

Stimulus check, direct deposit and through the mail?

Say you got your stimulus check direct deposited and then a few weeks later another stimulus check is mailed to you. Who would cash it or mail it back? If you cashed it would you get caught? What are the odds? Let me know your opinions.

How could I make money?

I am a 13 year old boy and I live out in the country. I go over to my dad’s house about every other weekend, and he lives in a neighborhood, and I try to mow people’s yards, and once I made 50 bucks by doing that and that is probably the most I will ever make because a lot of times the people have someone mowing them or they have already been mowed. I have also tried working at C&E Market which you have probably never heard of because I think there is only one of them in the whole United States. But I have to be at least 16 to work at any store there is in Tennessee. But my mom is about to be poor, my dad has decent money. But he pays the bills and buys his ***** with it. I need money for trips to the movies, skating rink, and other entertainment centers like that, school clothes, and other stuff. I’m about to be 13 on July 31st which is when I get my new phone, so i am just wondering like how the hell can I make money?

How safe is the E*Trade FDIC insured money markey saving account?

E*Trade is offering a 3.30% APY on their FDIC insured money market account. How safe are such accounts? What happens to the money if E*Trade as a bank fails? How much protection FDIC insurance really provides? Thanks
Is this a 100% garantee, can there still be situations where even the government would not pay?

Is now a good time to open an e-money market account?

I’m looking to start a savings account and the online versions of the MMA seem to have the best APY. I plan on making consistent deposits weekly or monthly and don’t plan on withdrawing any except in the event of catastrophe. Is this option the best out there?

how can i trust these kind of job offers ?

Dear Ms Sabari

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the job offer you received.

It has come to our attention that people have been approached by individuals claiming to represent Chevron Corporation offering fictitious employment opportunities with the company for work. Typically these individuals will claim that they are under contract with Chevron or ChevronTexaco to locate prospective employees for work.

These individuals nearly always work via email and will typically advise the job seekers that they have been hired by Chevron and for a fee (the amount varies from $100 to as much as several thousand dollars), they will process your employment papers, tender offers, job applications and work permits. Applicants are usually requested to send their fees, via a personal check or a money order, to a P.O. Box number.

This particular kind of activity is called “Advance Fee Fraud” or 419 Fraud. Since Chevron does not seek fees for securing positions with the company either as an employee or contractor, you should assume this is not a bonafide job offer.

While Chevron has contacted law enforcement agencies regarding this kind of activity, it is often difficult to find and prosecute the perpetrators.

If you should receive such an offer, you we ask that you report the matter to U.S. Secret Service.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused by these individuals and hope the above explanation is helpful.
